Merrie has been a spokesperson for UNICEF, is a disability and senior health advocate and has worked in conjunction with President Carter to promote Solar Energy. 

She loves to swim, dance and tend her colorful garden. She lives by the sea in with her family, and her cat Moses. 

A self professed mermaid, who actually lives by the sea, Merrie Angel is an award winning author, artist & powerful public speaker on every day kindness & love towards each other, and towards ourselves. 

“A national treasure whose message must be heard by everyone!” Joan is a near-death survivor, lifelong environmentalist and an advocate for all life on Earth.  She has given inspirational talks in front of thousands, intimate podcasts, and been featured in, and authored, pivotal, many must read books on timely topics such as trauma, grief, healing and hope.
